Merry Christmas!

Thank you for joining us on this our final blog of 2023. Today on this issue of Money Talks…. we are talking about continuing traditions by leaving a legacy.

What are your family’s traditions? During this holiday season, ours is celebrating Christmas on Christmas Eve. This is family tradition that dates back 150 years. Attending church for the candle light service. My daddy would always call his brother on Christmas to not only wish him Merry Christmas but also Happy Birthday. When daddy passed away in 1979, I picked up this tradition until my uncle’s death in 2013.

So I just finished reading book 16 for the year. John Maxwell, “The 21 irrefutable Laws of Leadership.” in his book he talks about leaving a legacy. He asked the questions, “What do you want people to say at your funeral? What do you want to see happen after you are gone? What do you want your legacy to be?

Some points he makes:

Know the legacy you want to leave

Live the legacy you want to leave

Choose who will carry on your legacy

Make sure you pass on the baton

We help people everyday achieve this goal. How are you doing with this?

Until next time,

Diane
